Update: This yarn offer has been taken and is no longer available.
Dive into this: 6 brand spankin' new skeins of Bouton d'Or Mango in Alouette. Rich neutral color and very luxurious yarn. It's Bouton d'Or/Anny Blatt, bay-bee! We're talking very haute yarn by French standards. 50% cotton, 50% modal. Machine-washable. I'd use the delicate cycle or hand-wash, though. Gotta take care of the fancy yarn, you know. 4 US (3.5mm) needles, 45 rows and 40 sts 4"x4" (10x10 cm) square. 1.76 oz (50 grams) in each skein, 120 yds (110 m). This yarn is a long time favorite of Bouton d'Or/Anny Blatt, and is used for both baby and adult garments. I've been holding on to it for a while thinking that I could use it to knit a tank or top, but I keep putting it off. So lucky you! Every time I rethink my project lineup for the season chances are a project's worth of yarn gets put up here in order to give someone else the chance to knit it. These are the reasons I had bought the yarn in the first place:
CROCHET tank with knit ribbing from Bouton d'Or/Anny Blatt Catalogue 80. (6 skeins makes up to and including size French size 40/42.)
Sexy knit halter-style tank from Bouton d'Or/Anny Blatt Catalogue 80. (6 skeins makes up to and including French size 42/44. Note about this design: It calls for one skein of ribbon yarn and some sequins. The ribbon yarn is placed as fringe around the neck and armhole edge. I was thinking of just omitting it.)
*For reference purposes I wear a size 36, which is US XS or S.
BONUS: I do not usually provide patterns I mention; they are posted here for inspiration purposes only. However, my local Anny Blatt/Bouton d'Or boutique provides me with copies of patterns for free when I buy for a specific project. So I will send my copy (in French) of ONE of these patterns to whom I send the yarn.
