Dive into this: 4 brand-spankin' new skeins of Bouton d'Or Balzane ribbon yarn in indigo. Machine washable. 11 US (7-8mm) needles, 14.5 sts and 20 rows 4"x4" (10x10 cm) square, 115yds (105 m) per 3.5 oz (100 gram) skein. This yarn is a lightweight ribbon cotton that reminds me of Rowan's Cotton Tape, but is much more elastic. I used this yarn to knit my son a sweater about two years ago.

I bought this yarn because I wanted (and still want!) to knit my son this adorable preppy sweater, but....he doesn't like it. I've learned the hard way that if I don't let him pick out his own knits, he won't wear them. So up here it goes:

Preppy cabled sweater from Bouton d'Or's Layette No. 11 (4 skeins make up to and including the six year old size).

NOTE: I do not usually include patterns with my stash yarns. But I was given a xerox of this pattern when I bought the yarn at my local Bouton d'Or/Anny Blatt boutique, so I will include this copy with the yarn. The pattern is IN FRENCH only. P.S. This yarn would make a cool tank, too. It's very close in gauge to Rowan Cotton Tape. Maybe something like Pool from Rowan's Cotton Tape Collection? There is almost double the yardage in Balzane because these are 100 gram skeins. (This is just a suggestion; I won't include the pattern for Pool.)

This yarn is worth at least 48 euros in France but I'm offering it for 30. Total cost is only 30 euros + shipping.
