Skinny Rabbit Slideshow Productions Presents:

"Ich Liebe Tweedgarn"

(Alternatively titled, "I don't really speak German but I wish I did when I follow Rebecca patterns", starring GGH Sierra, insanely enormous 9mm broomsticks needles, a sewing needle, some fingering yarn and Colin Firth wearing a hideous wig in the film Girl with a Pearl Earring.)

It's, like, the three needle bind-off, dude! Then I picked up stitches around the armholes so the sleeves can be worked from the top down. [I did this while watching Girl with a Pearl Earring. And yes! Colin Firth is still gaw-geous, even when he has to wear a gawd-awful wig.] The tops of the sleeves are worked in ribbing which, I must say, looks SO cool. Fancy a game of pick up sticks? (Or, in this case, pick up the broomsticks. Big needles, they are.) Yep. I did the neckband before joining the side and sleeve seams. I like working backwards. I used a wool/acrylic blend fingering yarn, similar in composition to the main yarn, for joining the sleeve and side seams because the yarn is soooooooo bulky. And here is a close-up of the seam. [Look, Ma! No bulk!]
