The best kind of vintage knitting kitsch and the main reason why I love browsing my 1948 pattern books. Hand-knit cabled swimming trunks. In wool. Perfect for hot weather and frolicking in the sea. Slipping a strip of elastic in that waistband is probably a good idea, though.
