M-I-C...K-E-Y...M-O-U-S-E!

I just attached the beginnings of wee sleeves to the body of my shexy black Ultra Femme top. They remind me of Mickey Mouse ears.

We've got sleevage!
It's all downhill from here, my friends.

All I have to do now is knit a few inches for the neck and I'll be binding off this little number. Still gotta see about a ribbon, but I see a finished knitted project on the horizon. [Horizon = After the Weekend. Hopefully.]

Here's a little footnote re the sleeves: They're knit in the round separately and then joined to the body. I could have knit them flat (you all know I prefer knitting flat) but this mohair is a fine gauge and having the top seamless makes for a more professional result, as there will be no seams showing through to the right side. The pattern calls for double pointed needles for the sleeves, and even though I prefer knitting with double points over magic loop, knitting with two circs, etc. I ended up knitting the sleeves in the round using two circs because I don't have any 3.75 double pointed needles and, to be frank, I don't feel like buying any. And that's the end of my blabby footnote.

I've only got my Cabled Jacket and my shexy Ultra Femme top on the needles right now, so this concludes the Knitting Report for this Monday. Now if you'll excuse me, lunch is a-calling. Croque Monsieur, to be exact. Fresh out of the oven. Yum, yum.

I cannot wait to see that finished! And your last few posts have been making me really hungry...
Hee hee! I think I need to write my entries *after* I have lunch...
The Ultra Femme looks ultra fab! And that lunch looks good, too. . .
That is going to be SOOO pretty! And yes - you've made me hungry and it's HOURS until lunch!
Great . . . now I'm going to be humming the Mouseketeer song all day . . .
I used to always wanna be part of the Mickey Mouse club.. I'm sure that the Ultra Femme is going to be extra sheksy. I really appreciate your your short and sweet posts.. they make me less restless. I like magic loop best.. especially for such a small circumference. I don't know that I'd ever have the same size needles... I mostly buy one size of really long ones.
Ooooh, looks good... Black was definitely the right choice.
Yum! I love how a few of the knitting blogs I read have food pictures too. It makes me want to learn how to cook. (I've tried-- the results were bad, to say the least.) The Mickey Mouse club song will be stuck in my head for a while because of your Ultra Femme. Hee hee...
Ultra Femme looks great so far. Can't wait to see the finished product!
It looks like such a wacky knit with all those belt loops hanging off! But it will be so pretty when it's finished. I'm looking forward to seeing what ribbon you pick!
I'm sure it'll be a very pretty sweater, but it sure has been funny looking through the knitting process. First the rasta bits and now the mickey mouse ears...well I'm amused at any rate. Happy croque.
There's the song of the day...Can't wait to see!
"Come along and sing a song and join the jamboree. M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E." Hee hee!
Wow, that's a great top and you are so close. I can't wait to see that on you. I know it will so shexy, you won't be able to stand yourself and the Monsieur will be taking you out for a hot date!
I didn't grow up with that theme tune. It's now running around my head! Yum, cheese on toast!
Mmmmmmm....croque monsieur.....
It's looking fantastic!
Looking very good... almost worth all those ends! ;)
Cute Mickey Mouse ears! Can't wait to see the finished top:)
I love the sweater, so sexy with a dark bra. I can't wait to see this sweater on you.
can't wait to see how it looks on! lying flat it's hard to imagine what the final product is going to be... though i know that if you're doing the ribbon shopping, that is going to be the creme de la creme!
Hi Becky, I've been reading your blog for a while now and enjoying your knits. I knit like a fiend too and enjoy designing my own patterns. Unfortunately I don't own a digital camera, so no blog for me - but would love to chat with you now and again about knitting techniques and whatnot, share ideas, suggestions type thing. Merci pour ton inspiration et ton attitude positive. C'est super :)
Hey! It's almost done! Looks good. You don't knit much on the round do you? Can't wait to see what you wear with the sheksy top. What with this and the cabled jacket, it is turning into a nice knit-filled fall.
Yes it does look like a mouse or cat...lol. Okay one question, how comes you have two circs, 3.75 mm? I know one of the reason i'ves never made the toe up sock with two circs is because I don't feel right about buying the same needle twice...oh wait a minute, maybeyou had two circs but in differnt length...now that I can do...hmmm
Ultra Femme is going to be so beautiful Becky! What is that you were having for lunch? Looks yummy!!!
Lookin' good! :)
All I want right now is that sandwich.
Hee, it does look like Mickey Mouse! Can't wait to see it done. But what I really want is your lunch...
I can't wait to see the finished top. I'm very curious to see what colour ribbon you go for.
Hi ya Becky, This is so lovely. I am on holidays in one week's time. Then I will definitely dedicate the time to learning to knit properly! Love it Mia
