What I'm up to:

(So you don't think I disappeared off the face of the planet :-))

Some mindless knitting...

It's Plassard* yarn, but I can't remember the name and I'm too lazy to get up and look for the label in the next room. But isn't is pretty all knitted up? I love these colors. I'm not sure what this is going to be; I just cast on and started knitting. Seriously. No goal, just a vague object in mind, maybe a cowl to wear with a denim jacket in spring. I really don't know, or even know if I'll keep it. I'm just knitting to knit :-)

I haven't even looked at any knitting patterns or magazines that may have come out for spring. Anything interesting? I'm not looking for myself but if you're going to be knitting something cool and cutting edge I'd like to drop by and see it!

*I went to the Plassard shop at Champagne Mont d'Or to buy that yarn, and was surprised when there was a new lady at the counter. I asked about the other lady who used to work there, and was told that the other lady hasn't worked there for two years. I smiled like a fool and went, "Er...well, I guess it's been a while since I was last here." (I also didn't tell her that I've been buying most of my yarn from Rike's Wollmaus, oh how I love internet shopping, but still.) Dudes! It's been two years since I've been to the yarn shop! Where does the time go?

Ah, spring. Please tell me it will be here soon! Glad to know you are still with us. You have been missed.
yum, hooray for stripes!
FINALLY! I was about to alert the Interpol! Good to have you back :) =================================== Note by Becky: I can see Interpol Headquarters from the view outside my apartment. (For real!)
Well, Interpol won't have to go far to find you then, will they? It is so nice to hear you are still around. Hope we'll being hearing from you more often sometime soon!
Pretty stripes!!
Sometimes it's nice to just enjoy the process. I'm wondering where the time goes too.
Two years?? Wow!
Nice to see you post again. That's crazy that you hadn't been to the actual yarn store in 2 years. I guess school has you incredibly busy.
"So, you fell into the time warp of school and parenthood," she said with a shrug. "It happens." So you can see Interpol from your apartment?? That's kinda trippy. Do they have a sign? Glad to see you're doing alright.
It's Plassard Rhapsodie that you're using! I made a cowl-like scarf a couple years ago from it. Glad to know you're still knitting!
Good to see a post from you - glad you haven't forgotten your readers! Love the yarn and look forward to seeing the final version.
i have missed you becky! today i did the same thing... just picked up wool and started knitting, garter stitch, just to have it in my hands.
Hi Becky! Nice to see you knitting again!
A cowl would be nice. I want one myself, but its so far down the queue right now.... 2 years since you hit the yarn shop??! that's some serious time-out-age!
You haven't been to the yarn shop in two years?? No way! I have missed you very much, perhaps we will see a bit more of you and your very interesting posts in the next little while.
I'm embarrassed to go to my LYS because it's been so long. I feel bad for all of the shopping on the Internets... And count me as another who just started knitting something just to knit. It may turn into a stuffed bunny, or a shrug. Oh, the possibilities! ======================================= Note by Becky: I can't wait to see what you're knitting! I'm in the same boat as you. The yarn I have bought was purchased online. I love shopping on the Internets...we can do it while wearing our jammies. Hee hee!
That is knitting up very pretty! I've been comfort knitting a lot too.
Two years- that's sorta shocking! I hope you are enjoying the feeling of the yarn running through your fingers. We all know how busy school keeps you. I know I would love a peek into that world again! You are so talented and I think it is fun to see your sketches and how they turn into finished designs. Hope it is all going well!!
Glad to read that you're back, I always enjoy reading your blog and projects, it makes my depressing days at work happier.
There you are!!! Glad to see a post from you. I don't get into LYS too much either. That's what happens when you have more yarn at home than you know what to do with :)
Wonderful colors! Nice to see you check in. :)
Lovely yarn. Glad you see you check in. I figured it was too cold to post!
Huzzah! There's nothing like a little mindless knitting to help take the edge off (I'm counting the hours until I can go home to my mindless knitting).
I haven't seen anything cool or cutting edge in the knitting mags lately; it's been quite awhile, actually. Glad you posted! I was thinking of you the other day and wondering what you were up to! :o)
I love the painterly effect in your Plassard above. It looks soft and cuddly. Any recommendations for some mindless sewing? I've got the mindless knitting down pat. ======================================= Note by Becky: Just cast on and knit, Seanna Lea! It's incredibly liberating. (Rent a good DVD, too. :-))
I'm not sure what's new for Spring either Becky. I only subscribe to one knitting magazine, Rowan, and I think I'm the only one left who hasn't received #43 yet :-(

That's really pretty! Love the colors. I had planned on going to a local yarn shop with a knitter friend today but when we got there, they'd closed! Like, forever! :( So I went to the local craft store. I'm intrigued by the stripey yarn... :)
To be honest, I haven't shopped at the LYS for quite a while too! Who needs to do that when one's got their own suppliers?! Just blog whenever you want....welcome back!
