ooooh- You *are* a tease!
No pics wearing the one arm warmer that you finished even though you said it looks neat! So mean!
Just kidding... you know I love ya.
Hey Becky,
I can't wait to see your opera length arm warmers. And the Captain is too cute! Knitting on demand, lol!
What is it with boys? My husband whines when I work on something that is NOT his socks.
At least you feel loved and wanted, right?
;-)
We saw The Incredibles this weekend - it was fabulous. I laughed so hard...and you lucky bunny, you have gorgeous marzipan readily available! Yum. Will you post the math for the armwarmers?
I think my guys are getting spoiled by the knits. I just bought some wool to make a ribbed hat for the hub to wear for when we take in the outdoor light shows next week (it gets so freezing during these shows), and when I showed it to him he asked, "Are you gonna make a scarf, too?" In other words: "I want a scarf." Spoiled rotten!
Gotta love it when your knits are so appreciated! What a pair of great guys you have! :) Love the color of the Kittyville hat.
You were a busy bee this weekend! I love the kitty hat! do you think a beginner could make it? CD is adorable!
Spoiled boys! Jacob saw me knitting my socks and now wants a pair...although secretly I'm glad he asked! :) I can't wait to see the armwarmers either! I'm about to embark on a pair myself.
And the Manly Jacket! You are a tease, Miss Rabbity Rabbit... We want pics! We want pics!
Your son is way to sweet, I love knitting on demand. You really are mean though not showing a picture of your one arm warmer. To tease us with only a flat shot.
Oh, I know. Aren't I evil? There will be posed photos of the armwarmers/mitts when both are finished.
I think that a beginner who knows how to decrease and work in the round could make the Kitty Hat. I found it to be a quick and straightforward knit. Go for it!
Bah! You've done more knitting in one weekend than I think I've managed in 5 months! Oh well, will just have to continue living vicariously through your knitting...
Hey Becky! You'll love the Incredibles! I actually knit the entire collar (and bound off -- in the dark) for my Steppe Phildar sweater while I was in the movie theatre.... click click.
can't wait to see them all. the yarn for your kitty hat is a gorgeous color. and your guys are too cool.
Not only is your to-do list more fun, but you got things done too! Boxes remain unpacked on my end. Except my boxes of yarn, they are all unpacked!
Is the kittyville hat for the niece-of-all-things-pink? It's such a vibrant color, she'll love it.
You should be called Busy Rabbit! Whew, just reading your post made me feel as though I could be doing more.(-:
Have fun at the Incredibles!
So, I know that you knit while you watch movies at home...but do you also bring your knitting when you go to the theatres!?!? What a productive weekend you had - I guess I can only live vicariously through you for that!
At least you got 2 items off your list. It's better than nothing. I'm anxious to see your opera wrist/arm warmers. :-)
Yay, The Incredibles! My favorite part: little boy incredible racing over water with his little feet going PAT PAT PAT PAT PAT *really* fast!
I reallllly loved The Incredibles. It's so entertaining and altogether very stylish - kind of like your site! I can't wait to see the finished products...so many of them too...!
i'm soooo jealous of all your beautiful projects(and your awesome site)
just a question - have you ever tried the knitting in the round with 2 circulars?? I find it much easier than dbl pointed needles for small round things like sleeves and hats and such(i'm not good with double points at all)- PLUS - i thing i found the technique thru a link on Your site!!
anyway - just curious - carry on, you queen of the knitting rabbits you - Vous etes vachement la lapine agile!!
the incredibles, well my fave part was the dancing lamb short they showed before the movie. love the color you chose for the hat and am looking forward to seeing those arm-warmers.
I'm with Michelle D -- once I figured out how to knit in the round with two circulars, I never looked back at dpns (except for glove fingers, which are fumbly and awkward no matter how you do them). And I avoid seaming whenever possible, so I do lots of stuff in the round.
Lovely knitting weekend, dear Rabbit!
you put me to shame squared! looking forward to seeing the armwarmers.
I thought The Incredibles was great too. I am impressed with how productive you have been! It inspires me to clear my plate as well.
Q: Do you speak English, French, or both at home?

I knit all small, round things on two-circs, especially wrist warmers. I'm sure they'll be fab!
Okay those: "these cute fruit-shaped confections made from almond paste"...we call them over here and I think in England as well, Marzipan =)
What a busy Rabbit you are.
I'm leaving work early today because my son's day care is doing a Hanukah party this evening so they want to get the place ready. I need to make "Latkes" (grated potatoe pancakes)...I'm hoping to be able to have some time to knit before I get cooking. Right now I'm working on 3 things: teddy bear, Weasley sweater & silk garden hat, the latter is most urgent.
Wow! So busy. I love the idea of opera length arm-armers; I have made a mental note so once Xmas presents are done I can make some for myself!
WEll, back to work! Thanks for the updates. Love this knitting universe.... :)
Becky, the guys' sweaters look great, and I can't get over the fact that they both picked out matching colors! That is so cool! I am excited to see that you're knitting a Kittyville hat, too (and what a great color choice!) I've made that hat as well, and so I have a request for you: if you think about it, please let us know what you think when you get to the ears. I will be interested to hear your take on them!
I hope you and the family continue to have a great holiday season!
Kathy
I'm a nut for marzipan, and your marzipan looks much prettier than the stuff I can find in the States. So pretty...
