It's tank top weather!

Excellent weekend! I've been doing very little knitting because we had a long weekend here, so my husband and I decided to take advantage of the sunny weather and visit the Parc de la Tete d'Or on Friday, and Vieux Lyon on Sunday. I didn't get to wear Pagan on Friday as it was still wet blocking when we left in the morning, but I did wear it all day on Sunday. I wore it while walking around under a hot sun, and I was sure that the hem would roll up. It didn't! The garter band at the hem and all that blocking must have made it stay put. And the tank really is a custom fit. Aside from the waist shaping I didn't follow the pattern at all, and came up with my own shaping for the armholes and neckline. I usually have problems with tanks being too short, or too flappy around the waist, or too tight at the back, but this one is a good fit so I'm glad I took the time to rework the pattern.

On another note, look at this artesanal ice cream we like to get in Vieux Lyon. The one in the front to the right is cassis and that's the flavor I always pick. Either that or pralines. Yep. Grandpa used to call me Sweet Tooth, and I got the molars full of fillings to prove it.

Very nice Pagan, I love the colour that you chose. Its so summery.. And I'm pleased to see your head in one of the photos, the 2 of you look so cute walking along the streets. I love his hat BTW!

You have a head! Yippie! Pagan looks absolutely excellent. So do you think a crochet finish would look just as good?

Fantastic,form-fitting tank - to fit a fantastic form ! It looks great on you.
Now I want praline ice cream.

Wow, you may be the most buff knitter I know. Now you can be my fitness hero as well as my knitting hero. Pagan looks great and looks great on you.

Super job on Pagan! It sure is a custom fit. Thanks for all the fun pics, including the ice cream!

hooray for becky and for pagan! it looks great - and i'm so glad to see a pic of you with a head. :) and your adorable little man. ;) i am tempted to knit something in that pretty light green color now...alas, i have too many projects on my hands at the moment!

i didn't know you'd been body building lately -- have you been benchpressing the kid or what?? :) i am way too disturbed my the sight of my fat upper arms lately to even want to work on a tank, let alone wear one! but it looks great on you lady! you and your pagan, you rock on.

It's nice to see your face!!!! I love the colour, it is so soft looking for summer. The decreases look so clean. Love it!!!

Ok, knittin' babe, now you're scarin' me! How in the heck did you get those arms?!? Bench press? Do I have to? *whine* You must scare off potential attackers right and left! Pagan looks great. I'm curious to know how many cm's you made the armholes. I'm determined to get a better fit on Smooch. Oh! Love those pop-up comments. Always thinking, you are. :)

I haven't worked out for years! It's all residue from sports I did when I was in college, and my muscles look like that only when I flex. (And I only flex when I want to freak out my friends. Tee hee.)

wow! looks great!

Can I have your body and your finishing skills?

Pagan's fabulous, fits like a dream.

Kudos,

Ok, I think there are a few of us standing in line to inherit your body and your talents. I love the street view. It brought back many great memories of past trips abroad. Oh, and the ice cream made me drool. Whatever city we visit, as a family, the first order of the day is to check out the "ice cream". Our favorite todate was in Florence.

Beautiful tank! Fits beautifully!

Becky, your version of Pagan fits beautifully. The stitches flow from the decreases so smoothly. Great job--and here's your A++++ :-)

WOW! That tank looks great and you look great in it! I agree with the others, the street shot is the best!

Lovely, classy Pagan. And you made a pretty sweater, too! ;-)

Becky, your tank looks very good on you.
